Privacy at Buyer Decider
This policy explains how Buyer Decider handles information when you browse the website, contact us, arrive from an advertisement or choose an affiliate link.

When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare, our hosting, network and security provider, necessarily processes standard request information. This can include your IP address, request date and time, requested page, browser or device information, and technical security signals. We use this processing only to deliver, secure and diagnose the website. Buyer Decider does not create a separate visitor account or advertising profile from it.
The address of an approved landing page may include a common campaign code. The server uses that code only to select the corresponding Amazon affiliate tracking ID. The code is the same for visitors in that campaign; it is not a unique user identifier. This happens on the server without cookies, browser storage, client-side scripts or redirects.
If you email Buyer Decider, we receive the address you use, your message and its metadata, and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use it to respond, manage the correspondence, keep appropriate business records, prevent misuse and comply with law. Please do not send sensitive information unless it is necessary.
Amazon may give Buyer Decider affiliate reports such as clicks, ordered items and commission amounts. Google may provide advertising reports such as campaign clicks, costs and aggregated performance measures. Buyer Decider does not receive your Amazon customer name, Amazon account credentials or payment details through its affiliate reports, and the website does not create an identity for us to join to these reports.
Some Buyer Decider guides contain Amazon Special Links. If you deliberately follow one, you leave Buyer Decider and your browser connects to Amazon. The link contains an affiliate tracking ID, which can credit Buyer Decider with a commission if a qualifying purchase occurs. Amazon then handles information under its own privacy notice and settings. Buyer Decider does not control another website’s privacy practices.
Current tracking boundary: Buyer Decider does not set tracking cookies, run analytics or advertising pixels, or use a visitor-specific affiliate sub-tag. Our website also instructs browsers not to send the Buyer Decider page address as referrer information when you follow an external link. A destination website still receives the technical information needed for your browser to connect to it.

Buyer Decider does not sell personal information or disclose it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use personal information to make automated decisions that could significantly affect your rights or interests.
Buyer Decider does not maintain a separate application database of website visitors. Infrastructure information, if retained, is kept through provider settings only for website delivery, security and diagnosis. Email and related records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the message, maintain appropriate business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the service. Affiliate, advertising and accounting records are retained as reasonably necessary for reporting, tax, fraud prevention and compliance; they are not used by Buyer Decider to identify website visitors.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the limited information we handle. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
You may browse without identifying yourself. Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may be entitled to ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access or correction, request deletion, object to or restrict certain handling, or complain about our practices.
Email contact@buyerdecider.com and explain your request. We may ask for only the information reasonably needed to locate the relevant record and verify that it relates to you. We will consider and respond within a reasonable period, subject to applicable exceptions.
For a complaint, use “Privacy complaint” in the subject line. We will acknowledge it, investigate the issue and explain our response. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the privacy regulator with jurisdiction over your complaint. In Australia, information about privacy complaints is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Buyer Decider is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information through the website.
We may update this policy when our practices, providers or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the date above. If a change materially increases collection or use of personal information, Buyer Decider’s project controls require that change to be assessed before implementation.
